Van Cortlandt House Museum welcomes group tours 6 days a week on a year-round basis during regular Museum Hours.  We are happy to assist Tour Operators with planning an itinerary of Bronx landmarks or making arrangements for lunch.  Our most popular group tour is an over-view of Van Cortlandt House, but we are open to special requests or theme tours.  Please call or write Van Cortlandt House Museum, at 718-543-3344,  for more details and to schedule your tour.  

There are two types of tours available to groups:  self-guided, appropriate for groups in excess of 30 but no more than 50 visitors; and guided tours appropriate for groups numbering between 10 and 30 visitors. 

Self-guided tours allow a maximum of 50 visitors the opportunity to discover Van Cortlandt House at their own pace.  This type of tour, including a visit to the Museum shop, lasts approximately 1 hour. The per person fee for self-guided group tours is $2.00 for adults and $1.50 for senior citizens, and adult student groups.  We recommend this type of tour for groups wishing to visit other sites on the same day as their trip to Van Cortlandt House Museum.

Guided group tours are conducted by Volunteer Docents and are appropriate for groups numbering fewer than 30.  Guided tours may last up to 1 1/2 hours and are recommended for groups that are planning less ambitious itineraries for their trip.  The per person fee for guided tours is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for senior citizens and adult student groups.
