To reach the Museum by Public Transit:

IRT Subway Line #1 to 242 Street - Van Cortlandt Park 

Leave the subway platform and cross over to the park side of Broadway.  Keeping the park on your right, walk away from the subway up Broadway to the driveway into Van Cortlandt Park flanked by planter boxes.  Enter the park and follow this driveway to Van Cortlandt House Museum.

MTA Bus Bx9 to 244 Street

Liberty Lines Express Bus BxM3 to 244 Street

Westchester Bee-Line Bus 1,2,3 to 242 Street

These bus stops are located adjacent to the park driveway leading to Van Cortlandt House Museum. Walk into the park at this driveway and follow it to the Museum.

To reach the Museum by Car:

Major Deegan/NYS Thruway 87 from the north or south 

Take the Major Deegan/NYS Thruway 87 to Exit 11-  Van Cortlandt Park South.   Keep to the right on the exit ramp and at the end turn right onto Van Cortlandt Park South.  Take the very next right onto Review Place which will  lead you to Broadway.  Proceed north on Broadway through two traffic lights, after the second traffic light find parking on Broadway and walk into Van Cortlandt Park at the 244th Street driveway.  The Museum is straight ahead.  Cars are not permitted in Van Cortlandt Park without prior arrangement.  Please call Van Cortlandt House Museum if you need special assistance.

West Side Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway

From the south: take the West Side Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway north to exit 23A - Broadway South.  At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Broadway.  Proceed south on Broadway through two traffic lights.  After the second traffic light find parking on Broadway.  Walk into Van Cortlandt Park at the 244th Street driveway.  The Museum is straight ahead.  Cars are not permitted in Van Cortlandt Park without prior arrangement.  Please call Van Cortlandt House Museum if you need special assistance.

From the north: take the Henry Hudson Parkway south to exit 23 - Broadway.  On the exit ramp keep to the left for Broadway southbound. At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Broadway. Proceed south on Broadway through two traffic lights.  After the second traffic light find parking on Broadway and walk into Van Cortlandt Park at the 244 Street driveway.  The Museum is straight ahead.  Cars are not permitted in Van Cortlandt Park without prior arrangement.  Please call Van Cortlandt House Museum if you need special assistance.
